Dr. Browarsky received his medical degree from the Rosalind Franklin UHS at Chicago Medical School in 1968. After a clinical (rotating) internship at Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, he completed his residency at Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Browarsky has held a staff position at Tampa General Hospital since 1975, and is currently the Medical Director of the Laboratory.

Dr. Browarsky is a member of the American Pathology Foundation, the College of American Pathologists, the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology, the Florida West Coast Association of Pathologists, the Society of Hematopathology, and the Florida Society of Pathologists. His academic appointments include Clinical Associate Professor with the University of South Florida and Medical Director of the School of Medical Technology at Tampa General Hospital since 1977.
