Dr. Wong is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, and neuropathology.  

After obtaining a four years degree from Standford University, Dr. Wong continued his education and obtained his medical degree from F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland.  He completed residencies in Internal Medicine and in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Wilford Hall Medical Center and completed a fellowship in neuropathology at the University of California in San Francisco.  He also received military education from the United States Air Force Air War College in 2001-2002.  

Before joining Ruffolo, Hooper & Associates in 1998, Dr. Wong served as the Director of Neuropathology Department at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB, TX and as Professor of Pathology, Adj. at the University of Texas, Health Sciences Center, San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Wong is the recipient of many awards and recognitions notably the Honorary Commemorative Plaque, In Recognition for Research Contributions toward the 1997 Nobel Prize in Medicine from Dr. Stanley B. Prusiner and Dr. Stephen J. DeArmond from the University of California, San Francisco.

He is a member of the American Association of Neuropathologists and of the International Congress of Neuropathology.
